Awareness holds forums four times a year to provide information to people with lived mental health or addiction experience, as well as the wider community of friends, family, support people and clinicians.
Forum topics are chosen by Awareness members based on areas that people want to know more about in order to access helpful support, or to be able to self-advocate. Previous forums include Men’s Health, Self-harm, Making a Complaint, Queer Mental Health, New Services, Support for people with Mental Health and Addiction Challenges, Employment, Understanding the Law, Youth Mental Health, the Mental Health Act, and Technology for Wellbeing and Recovery.
